She's spent her life chasing Platinum trophies and completionist collections, even before a company started paying her to do it on the internet. There were already dozens of colorful entries in your Palpedia when Palworld was still in early access, but the July 2026 launch of the full game has added more than 70 new Pals to the already expansive roster! With new faces all around the map, you'll find no shortage of Pals to catch this time around. If you're looking for a good place to start, though, we'd recommend focusing on trying to catch these nine Pals in the earlier sections of Palworld 1.0 s as to help you get off on the right foot in this creature collection adventure title. 1 Pupperai Palpedia Number No. 13 Elemental Type Ground Partner Skill Best Boy: While in the party, you deal 10% more melee weapon damage. Work Suitabilities Gathering: 1 Lumbering:1 Transporting: 1 One of the earliest new Pals you'll see that were added in Palworld 1.0 is Pupperai, found as you're walking down across the Plateau of Beginnings where you spawn and the main section of Windswept Island These adorable puppy Pals will be one of your earliest accesses to Ground types, which will easily be a boost for your first Tower fight ahead. Being a Ground type, not only will it take less damage from Zoe's Grizzbolt and its Electric damage, but it'll also deal a good amount of damage to it in return, so be sure to catch and train up a Pupperai before taking on the Rayne Tower. 2 Clovee Palpedia Number No. 14 Elemental Type Grass/Neutral Partner Skill Happy Clover: While at your Base, Clovee increases the Gathering Work Suitability Level for the other Pals at the base by 1. Work Suitabilities Planting:1 Gathering: 1 Once you arrive on the main section of Windswept Island past the gates out of the Plateau of Beginnings, you'll begin bumping into your next must-catch new Pal in the Palworld 1.0 Palpedia, Clovee. Not only will Grass types help during your first Tower battle, but as you begin to get into farming in Palworld, you'll need capable Pals at the base. Not only is Clovee great for keeping a planted farm self-sustaining while you head out on an adventure, able to both plant and gather crops, but it also helps boost the Gathering Work Suitability Level for everyone at the Base, making your farming team of Pals even more effective than before. 3 Wispaw Palpedia Number No. 50 Elemental Type Dark Partner Skill Death-Cheating Feline: While in the party, Wispaw increases the capture rate when awarded a Back Bonus. Work Suitabilities Handiwork: 1 Lumbering:1 Medicine Production: 1 Transporting: 1 Located within the lava-heavy regions of the Volcano in the northern section of Windswept Island, the first major area in Palworld, is another new Pal named Wispaw. This creepy Pal will be a big help if you're sneaking around at night and catching Pals by surprise, helping to boost the capture rate of Pals who don't see you coming. In terms of Wispaw's work at the Base, you'll have early access now to Medicine Production, so be sure to upgrade your Base and spend the Techology Points to unlock one as soon as you can, so you can begin healing your Pals more effectively in the field. 4 Tanzee Ignis Palpedia Number No. 23B Elemental Type Fire Partner Skill Chipper Chimp Gunfire: When activated, Tanzee Ignis will mercilessly fire an assault rifle that shoots Fire at nearby enemies for a limited time. Work Suitabilities Kindling: 1 Handiwork: 1 Lumbering:1 Transporting: 1 But if you're looking for a Fire-type Pal of your own (which you should, given the Tower fight in the next region features a Grass Pal to contend with as you begin dealing with the Free Pal Alliance), consider capturing a Tanzee Ignis while you're poking around at the Volcano on Windswept Island, too. Train it up well, and it'll prove pivotal in your Tower battle in the next region. If you're leaving your Tanzee Ignis at the Base, though, it's got plenty of helpful suitabilities! It's likely one of your earliest Kindling Pals, which will prove to be pivotal as your Technology Point recipes begin to require more smelted ore Ingots going forward. It can also help out with keeping your supply of different types of wood in good shape, as well as building and moving items. There's also a Grass variant of Tanzee, the main version of this Pal, that you'll find later on, but we encountered Tanzee Ignis first. 5 Muffly Palpedia Number No. 59 Elemental Type Ice Partner Skill Fluffy Flutterer: While in the party, Muffly increases the capture rate of Pals afflicted with Freeze. Work Suitabilities Cooling: 2 Transporting: 1 Beginning to head north from Windswept Island will bring you into Moonless Shore, a hilly area that's home to another of the new Palworld 1.0 Pals, Muffly. As you begin to make more cooked meals out of your raw ingredients like Berries and the various meats you get from killing Pals, you'll need to work out how to keep that food good longer - and that's where Muffly comes in. Not only will Muffly make any Pals you're fighting in the wild easier to catch if it manages to Freeze them for you with one of its attacks, its Cooling abilities will help out in a ton of ways around the Base as one of your earliest Cooling Pals. 6 Amione Palpedia Number No. 47 Elemental Type Water Partner Skill Magical Twin Powers: While at your Base, Amione increases the Watering Work Suitability Level for every other Pal at the base by one. Work Suitabilities Watering: 1 Handiwork: 2 Transporting: 1 Located on the watery outskirts of Bamboo Groves, where you'll head after clearing the Rayne Tower in the first area of Palworld is the next Pal on our list that was added in Palworld 1.0, Amione. While the pair of white doll-like Pals will always be together and function as a single Pal, these twins are well worth capturing early on! As you begin to get your farms at the Base to be self-sufficient, it's a good idea to begin diversifying which Pals have which suitabilities when you assign them to work. Not only can Amione help build and water, but it also makes your other Base Pals see their Watering suitability increase, which will help keep your fields well-hydrated. 7 Elgrove Palpedia Number No. 81 Elemental Type Grass Partner Skill Mother Nature's Menace: When activated, Elgrove turns your attack type to Grass and increases your Attack damage by 30% as well. Work Suitabilities Planting: 3 Gathering: 2 Lumbering:3 Mining: 2 Transporting: 3 As you make your way north out of Moonless Shore, you'll begin entering the Bamboo Grove area, and it's here you'll find your next new Palworld 1.0 Pal, Elgrove. Not only will having one in your party make you more powerful in combat as you're out exploring the world and uncovering the map, but it's at the Base that Elgrove really shines. It has five different work suitabilities, which is a huge number for a Pal this early in the game as you're learning to diversify the Base a bit more and are outputting different types of products. You'll have a good Pal in gathering your building essentials with its Mining and Lumbering skills, especially since it can carry the materials back to a chest for you to use the next time you need to get to building. 8 Puffolt Palpedia Number No. 62 Elemental Type Electric Partner Skill Crackle Booster: While at your base, Puffolt increases the Generating Electricity Work Suitability Level for every other Pal at your base by 1. (Does not stack with multiple Puffolt at the base.) Work Suitabilities Generating Electricity: 2 Transporting: 1 Sharing space across the southern areas of Moonless Shore with Elgrove will be Puffvolt, another adorable new Pal added with the Palworld 1.0 release. As you begin to segue into the sections of Palworld that will require electricity to power the things you're making with your Technology Point unlocks, you'll come to appreciate this adorable yellow friend. Not only does Puffolt have a level two for Generating Electricity on its own, but its Partner Skill gives an additional point of Generating Electricity to every other Pal currently working at the Base, which will be a huge boost to your power output down the line. 9 Skutlass Palpedia Number No. 128 Elemental Type Water Partner Skill Fish Fillet: When activated, Skutlass becomes your Katana, becoming incapacitated if it stays in this form for too long. Work Suitabilities Watering: 4 Gathering: 1 Lumbering: 4 Easily one of the trickier Pals on our list of new entries in the 1.0 Paledia, you'll likely stumble upon Skutlass and you're trying to seek information on the second tower, while trying to access Twilight Dunes for the first time. They'll be milling about on the sandy shores of this area, but come prepared for one heck of a fight trying to get onto the Dunes! The Pals in the surrounding area all seem to have a level higher than 30, so be mindful if you end up here. The Anubis nearby at the aptly-named Anubis Dunes is level 55, so definitely avoid it for now. Skutlass is a sword-like Pal, and not only can you use it as a Pal, but you can also use its Partner Skill to give yourself a pretty potent new weapon. The attack power scales with Skutlass' ability with the skill, so befriending a Skutlass early and bringing it around with you in the party is a great way to get a powerful melee attack for the later parts of the game.
