Niall also has a rich history covering triple-A releases, sports games, and PC hardware. Fans of Magic: The Gathering and cozy games are in for quite the crossover as the Stardew Valley Secret Lair is about to drop. This "superdrop" consists of three separate Secret Lair products, split into foil and nonfoil variants. It was officially revealed during the MagicCon Amsterdam Secret Lair reveal-a-thon. There are 21 new cards in total, but only one is a mechanically unique card, and that's the appropriately named Stardew Valley land. One of these new cards is also a promo that only comes with "select bundles." All of the Stardew Valley Secret Lair bundles drop on Monday, July 27, at 9 am PT. If you want to know more about how to secure a Secret Lair product if this is your first time, we have more info at the end of this article. All Stardew Valley Secret Lair Bundles And Prices As I've already noted, there are three total Stardew Valley Secret Lair drops, and it's possible to buy each one individually in either the foil or nonfoil treatment. I'll take you through what comes in each bundle before then running through the larger bundles you can buy and the prices of each one. A Flicker In The Deep The first Stardew Valley bundle is called A Flicker in the Deep and comes with five cards plus a treasure token and an Ooze token. Royal Serpent [Atsushi, the Blazing Sky] Big Slime [Mitotic Slime] Arcane Signet Galaxy Sword [Sword of Forage and Frontier] Treasure Vault The artwork for this bundle is vibrant but without veering into cartoonish nonsense. The tokens, however, are extremely cutesy, which doesn't quite fit the theme of the rest of the bundle, but given that these are tokens, it's forgivable. This bundle will cost $29.99 for the nonfoil version and $39.99 for the foil variant. Cards reprinted under a different name retain all the abilities and rules of the original, just with a new name and artwork. Life In Pelican Town Next up is Life in Pelican Town, which is made up of five cards, four of which are renamed land reprints, plus a thematically appropriate reprint of a popular land upgrade spell. Crop Rotation Community Center [Fountainport] Pelican Town [Homeward Path] Tower of Rasmodius [Command Tower] Valley Farmstead [Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth] The imagery here is heavily inspired by landscape art, which is appropriate given that it's largely land reprints, but each one has been given a stunning Stardew Valley twist. This bundle will cost $29.99 for the nonfoil version and $39.99 for the foil variant. Welcome To Stardew Valley Finally, we have what will likely be the most popular of the Secret Lair drops, Welcome to Stardew Valley. This eight-card drop consists of three reprints, three renamed reprints, one token, and one mechanically unique new Magic card. Stardew Valley Mermaid's Pendant [Wedding Ring] Pierre's Truce [Dawn's Truce] Swords to Plowshares Rites of Flourishing The Welcoming Committee [Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis] Sol Ring The token in this bundle is a food token, and this is easily the most identifiable Stardew Valley bundle of the three, given that it uses the pixel art style that the game is known for. A real attention to detail has gone into the design of these cards, with everything from the main artwork down to the card text being the perfect mirror of what you see in-game. As for the new card, Stardew Valley, it's a land that can be tapped for one colorless mana. However, you can also pay two and tap it to tap and untap a creature you control and create a food token, and you can pay three and tap it to choose a target permanent you control; then you draw a card, and another player you choose gains control of the tapped permanent. This can be activated only as a Sorcery. This bundle will cost $39.99 for the nonfoil version and $49.99 for the foil variant. Traveling Cart The Traveling Cart bundle includes all three nonfoil bundles for one cost. There is no discount for buying it this way, as it costs $99.97, but you may find that the promo card is only offered with bundles including all of the Secret Lair drops, so check this info before completing your purchase. Prismatic Shard Next up is the Prismatic Shard bundle, which, as you may expect, is the bundle containing all of the foil variants of each drop. Again, there is no discount for buying this way, and the total cost of the bundle is $129.97, but it's quicker than trying to add three separate bundles to your basket, and it may include the promo card. Grandpa Would Be Proud Finally, the Grandpa Would Be Proud bundle includes all the foil and nonfoil bundles from the Stardew Valley X Secret Lair crossover. There is a small discount for buying this instead of buying separate bundles, and you are guaranteed to get the Lucky Purple Memento (Puca's Mischief) promo card with this purchase, too. This bundle costs $219.99. How To Order A Secret Lair Bundle Ordering a Secret Lair bundle requires patience and a lot of luck. First, you'll want to have your interest registered for a Secret Lair bundle; this can be done at the bottom of the homepage where upcoming bundles are advertised. This gets you an email to your inbox shortly before the purchase window begins. You'll also want to make sure you have, and remember the details of, your Wizards of the Coast account. At 8 am PT, a waiting room will open for the upcoming Secret Lair; you can enter at this point, but it doesn't guarantee you a high place in the queue. At 9 am PT, purchases can begin, but everyone waiting in the lobby is randomly assigned a spot in the queue. So, by being there at 8 am on the dot, you are no more guaranteed to purchase a Secret Lair than someone who shows up at 8:58. From there, you're given an approximate time of entry and warned to get your product in the basket and checked out as soon as possible to avoid the product going off sale during your access. Just because you gain access to the store to buy your bundle doesn't guarantee it won't sell out before you confirm payment.
