Namma BMTC 2.0 app now available for iPhone users

BMTC has appealed to passengers and the public to download and use the “Namma BMTC 2.0” application to access its digital ticketing, bus tracking and journey-planning services. | Photo Credit: ALLEN EGENUSE J The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has made its “Namma BMTC 2.0” mobile application available on the iOS platform, enabling iPhone users to access digital public transport services.The app, which was initially launched for Android users, offers facilities such as digital BMTC tickets and bus passes, live bus tracking, a journey planner and digital payment options. It also supports integrated ticketing between BMTC and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL), allowing passengers to access both bus and Metro services through the digital platform.The “Namma BMTC 2.0” app was unveiled by Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar during an event marking 100 days of the Congress government in Karnataka recently. “The platform was introduced as part of BMTC’s efforts to make public transport services more convenient, connected and cashless, a release stated.With the latest expansion to iOS, passengers using iPhones can now download the application from the Apple App Store and access BMTC services digitally.BMTC has appealed to passengers and the public to download and use the “Namma BMTC 2.0” application to access its digital ticketing, bus tracking and journey-planning services.
