Katherine Ryan and Joanne McNally join forces in tearing down ‘scumbag’ Hollywood star

Fans were quick to rush to Allen’s defence when she sang about her ex-husband’s ‘p*** palace’ of sex toys and condoms in their family’s home, as well as references to another woman ‘Madeliene’ in her confessional album West End Girl. But Harbour stans say they were in an open relationship and Lily Allen should be ‘grown up about the rules’ and not air out any more dirty laundry in public. Appearing on Ed Gamble’s panel show Unacceptable, where guests are allowed to express their cancellable opinions, the all-female team of Joanne McNally, Katherine Ryan and Fatiha El-Ghorri jumped to the defence of Lily Allen. Katherine Ryan, calling herself, ‘a personal best friend’ to the Smile singer, was asked to choose between the pair. The only men appearing on the show Vittorio Angelone and Richard Ayoade very much sat on the fence, joking, ‘Given the faces of the other team, I think Richard and I should tread very carefully. Richard agrees ‘This isn’t our battle.’ Katherine Ryan is dismayed to even be asked the question (Picture: TLC UK) But Joanne’s team doubles down, ‘You need to take your lead from the P**** Palace, I think he is a scumbag. Ryan agrees: ‘Yeah. Gross. How dare you even ask us this, Ed, about our personal best friend, Lily Allen and what she’s been through?’ Harbour says he respects that Allen used her exprience to make art (Picture: Evan Agostini/Invision/AP) The clip ends with a confused Richard asking, ‘Can I rewind and just get a very very brief precis of whatever the hell this is.’ Well Richard, they married in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2020, complete with an Elvis impersonator and a stop at In-N-Out Burger. They were adored for their eccentric relationship. But then West End Girl dropped. Lily’s tell-all songs about infidelity, resentment, jealousy, and emotional manipulation prompted fans to quickly side with her and sell out her tour. The pair co-parented Allen’s children from her previous relationship (Picture: Arturo Holmes/WireImage) But Harbour stayed quiet until admitting the album was ‘weird in a new interview with Variety. ‘I do believe that it is the privilege of every artist to use their experience to create art, and so I respect her for doing that,’ he explained. The 50-year-old was noticeably reluctant to delve into the specifics of their relationship, stressing that he still considers it a private matter despite the public fascination surrounding it. ‘I can’t really say that much more,’ he said. ‘Because it’s my private life. In spite of the fact that a lot of people don’t allow me a private life — I value it. And I also value the lives of the people that I interact with privately.
