Both platforms were attached to attempts to reinvent the franchise for a new generation, promising a reboot that could bring its colorful heroes into the age of streaming. Both attempts ultimately fell through, leaving fans without the fresh start and, more importantly, the streaming home for Power Rangers they’d been wishing for. The excitement surrounding Hasbro’s plans with Netflix and Disney wasn’t simply about the failed reboots. There was also the hope that a partnership might eventually bring the enormous Power Rangers back catalog together on one service. The franchise has lacked a permanent streaming home, with its formerly strong presence on Netflix dwindling when Hasbro’s partnership with the streamer ended. However, while focus has been firmly on Disney+ until the reboot was canceled in August, Prime Video has been quietly offering something almost as good as an official streaming home for Power Rangers. There are currently 24 seasons of Power Rangers available to stream on Prime Video in the United States, giving Amazon a de-facto claim to being the franchise’s main streaming destination. It’s not the complete collection of every Power Rangers season, but it’s still a chance for a substantial nostalgic return to some of its best iterations. Unfortunately, there is a catch. The show reportedly won’t remain available on Prime Video beyond October (via JustWatch), meaning one of the most convenient ways to revisit Power Rangers is about to disappear. Power Rangers Is Leaving Prime Video Before The End Of October Power Rangers is reportedly leaving Prime Video on October 30, leaving precious little time to enjoy its substantial collection. With 24 seasons available, this is a significant loss for subscribers who have been working through the franchise or simply keeping a beloved series within easy reach. The lineup of Power Rangers shows on Prime Video covers almost everything from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers through to Power Rangers Beast Morphers. The notable omissions are Power Rangers Jungle Fury, Power Rangers Dino Super Charge, and Power Rangers Ninja Steel. Those gaps, along with an absence of anything after Beast Morphers, keep it from being the complete experience, but the collection still represents the most Power Rangers seasons available to stream on any platform. Still, there are four days remaining until Power Rangers leaves Prime Video on October 30. That's more than enough time to dive into Tommy Oliver’s redemption arc in Mighty Morphin, watch the Time Force/Wild Force crossover episode one more time, or give Mack’s journey from android to human in Operation Overdrive another run through in. The biggest strength of the show has always been its variety. Even if it's too narrow a window to watch all 24 Power Rangers seasons that are on Prime before it leaves, it's more than wide enough for each fan to revisit their favorite episodes and story arcs. Nevertheless, the departure from Prime Video removes a remarkably convenient way to dive into decades of Power Rangers history, and hopefully the show will find a comparable home again soon. Still, the reported leaving might also be a temporary part of bigger plans, because there are rumors that Hasbro and Prime Video may be in talks following the collapse of Hasbro’s partnership with Disney (via Yahoo). These rumors have yet to be confirmed, but if they’re true, then it may well be that Power Rangers isn’t away from Prime Video for long. Classic Power Rangers Shows Are Still Available To Watch For Free On YouTube Fortunately, losing access to the 24 seasons of Power Rangers currently on Prime Video doesn’t mean these adventures are disappearing altogether. There’s an equally convenient way to revisit most of them thanks the official Power Rangers YouTube channel hosting multiple classic seasons for free. Its extensive selection of full episodes gives fans another way to continue watching after the reported Prime Video departure. The channel’s playlists cover 20 different iterations, including hits like Mighty Morphin and RPM, shorter installments and mini-seasons such as Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers and Power Rangers Super Samurai. What’s more, various seasons remain available on traditional streaming platforms across smaller services such as Tubi, Hoopla, and The Roku Channel, although their selections differ. Netflix also still offers more recent adventures, including Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, alongside its exclusive anniversary special, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always. In short, there are still plenty of ways to stream Power Rangers online, and most of the show’s seasons can even be viewed for free. What remains uncertain is which major streaming platform might next assemble a similarly substantial collection. Prime Video offered the convenience of keeping most of the franchise on one familiar subscription service. Its departure closes that chapter, leaving fans to piece together their preferred Power Rangers eras across several different destinations once again.
