Habagat to prevail over parts of Luzon, Visayas until Wednesday

Image from DOST / Pagasa MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon, or habagat, will continue to bring rain to parts of Luzon and Visayas on Monday and will persist until Wednesday, according to the state weather bureau. In the 5 a.m. weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), weather specialist Aldzcar Aurelio said that Tropical Storm Pilandok (international name: Krovanh) is enhancing the habagat. However, he noted that Pilandok has a low chance of reentering the Philippine area of responsibility. Aurelio also said that Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, rest of Central Luzon, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), and Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
