M1 closed after car flips in major crash as emergency crews flood scene and commuters hit with long delays

A MAJOR UK motorway has ground to a halt after a serious collision caused a vehicle to flip in the road – sparking long delays. The M1 southbound lanes one, three and four have all been closed between J15 and J14 near Northampton. Emergency services have been scrambled to the chaotic scene and are working to reopen the road. National Highways said: “Lanes 1, 3 and 4 are closed on the M1 southbound between J15 and J14 near Northampton due to a collision resulting in an overturned vehicle. “Emergency services are on scene dealing. “There are delays of 35 minutes on the approach.”
