Avatar Legends Is So Hardcore That Even The CPU Can't Pull Off Some Of Its Combo Trials Published Jul 26, 2026, 5:00 PM EDT George is the Lead News Editor for TheGamer, and has been working in the industry since 2021 after graduating from the University of South Wales with a bachelor's degree in Journalism. One of the greatest strengths of Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is that it's not afraid to challenge the player with its more technical and fast-paced mechanics. Avatar may have been geared at younger audiences originally, but The Fighting Game makes it very clear that it expects some level of knowledge and mastery. There are some welcoming mechanics like auto combos, and I wouldn't say that you need to be an expert member of the FGC to enjoy it, but going any further than the story mode is going to take some work. That's been made even clearer now that a viral clip has surfaced showing that even the CPU can't quite handle its more complicated trials. If You Demand Perfection, You Better Supply It One of the main takeaways from players about Avatar Legends since it launched yesterday is that it's a pretty hardcore fighter overall. That's mostly a good thing that's being appreciated by fighting game fans, but there are some instances where it goes a little far, like the genre standard combo trials. Each character in Avatar Legends has a bunch of combo trials for the player to complete, and even the easiest level can be pretty difficult. It turns out that it's not just hard for the player, though, as Twitter user CosmonautMarcus shared a clip showing that even the computer isn't quite getting them right. In the video, the CPU is shown trying to demonstrate one of Zuko's master trials, and getting it nearly completely wrong in the process. The computer is shown getting combos wrong multiple times in the clip and carrying on as if nothing happened. It's pretty funny that the player is then expected to get it right, even though the game itself seemingly can't do it. I can't even reach the master level trials, and found that even doing the combo right doesn't always pass them, so I'm not too surprised to see the computer acting out.
