Zelensky Responds to Allegations of Drug Use

Loomer also referenced claims made by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, political activist Candace Owens, and a podcast hosted by Zelensky’s former press secretary, Yuliia Mendel. Zelensky rejected Mendel’s allegations and stated that he does not watch Carlson’s content. “There are different people and different TV presenters, bloggers, and so on. Some of them are good, others are too harsh,” Zelensky said. “But there are smart people and there are unintelligent people. As for me, I watch smart people, and I never watch unintelligent people because it does not help. Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed the US still has unfulfilled “obligations” stemming from the August 2025 summit between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska. Speaking after talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Manila, Lavrov pointed to proposals discussed in Anchorage as a basis for further negotiations. Rubio stated that the territorial proposals discussed during the Anchorage summit had failed because Ukraine did not accept them, referring to what Russia described as the “3+2” approach. Rubio stressed that no peace agreement could work without the consent of both sides and noted that the approach was likely even less acceptable to Kyiv today, necessitating new proposals.
