A Meerut woman confronted her husband after spotting him in a car with another woman and ended up on the bonnet as the vehicle moved. She tried to get Mahi out of the car, following which an argument broke out between Sunita and Mayank.According to Sunita's complaint, Mayank then drove the car while she was on its bonnet. She remained clinging to the front of the moving vehicle for several kilometres. Sunita further alleged that Mayank tried to kill her by ramming the car into a divider twice. Despite the alleged attempts, she continued to hold on to the bonnet.A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media. It shows the woman clinging to the bonnet of the moving car as the vehicle travels along the road. People eventually intervened and managed to stop the car, after which Sunita was brought down from the bonnet. Sunita alleged that Mayank assaulted her even after the car was stopped.The matter subsequently reached the Lohia Nagar police station, where Sunita filed a complaint against Mayank and Mahi.Meerut's police official said that they took immediate cognisance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections."The husband then attempted to run his wife over with the car with an intention to kill her," Singh said.Police arrested Mayank and Mahi and seized the car. Further legal action is underway.Sunita and Mayank got married in 2012. Mayank is a resident of the Kithore police station area. According to the information provided, the couple began having disputes after their marriage.Sunita's family subsequently lodged a complaint against Mayank. The two sides later reached a compromise.At present, Sunita was living with her children.- Ends
