Vanessa and Nick Lachey, Leaving California for a “New Chapter,” Are Parting Ways With Their LA Home—Again

After moving back to California a year ago, Vanessa and Nick Lachey have decided to leave the Golden State behind for a “new chapter.” Their Los Angeles home is officially on the market for $8.2 million. The Love is Blind co-hosts have owned the SoCal estate on two separate occasions; according to Mansion Global, they originally purchased the house from retired NFL wide receiver Randall Cobb in December 2020 for $5.1 million. After Vanessa snagged the role of Jane Tennant in NCIS: Hawai’i, the family relocated to a beachside Honolulu dwelling in 2021. They privately offloaded their LA manse to tennis star Naomi Osaka in 2022 for $6.3 million.During Osaka’s three-year residence, she reportedly made “significant privacy upgrades” to the home. The four-time Grand Slam champ added gates, hedges, security cameras, motion detectors, and an 800-square-foot guest house outfitted with a gym, a kitchenette, and a spa-like bath.The home’s exterior. Photo: James MossFollowing the cancellation of NCIS: Hawai’i in 2024, the family of five returned to the mainland. They bought the home back from Osaka in August 2025 for $7.9 million. Now, as they reportedly ready to ditch California altogether, they’re packing up to leave the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom digs once again. “We love living at [this house]. It provided so many great memories,” the couple said in a joint statement. “We’re happy and excited for the next family to carry on the tradition and continue to love it as much as we did.”The home’s kitchen. As one would expect, given the abode’s A-list former residents, the 6,855-square-foot pad is packed with luxury amenities. Highlights include a chef’s kitchen with a double island and a separate breakfast nook, a bar, a wine cellar, a pool, a gym, and a movie theater.
