Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, Peng Liyuan.Usha, who welcomed her fourth child, a son, in July this year, wore a custom strapless column gown by Oscar de la Renta.Oscar de la Renta is a go-to label for the First and Second Ladies of the US.Vance’s gown was crafted entirely with gold bugle beads, giving the floor-length silhouette a striking metallic sheen. The Second Lady, known to make chic sartorial statements, kept the rest of her look understated, letting the shimmering gown take centre stage. She wore her long hair open, while her makeup was kept minimal. Simple earrings completed the look.Meanwhile, her husband, Vice President JD Vance, wore a classic black tuxedo, complete with a crisp white shirt and black bow tie. The couple were among the guests at the September 24 dinner in the White House's East Room, where Trump and Melania Trump welcomed Xi and Peng.
