The rider is suspected to have lost control of the motorcycle before the accident. | IMAGE FOR REPRESENTATION | Photo Credit: Satheesh Vellinezhi Two engineering students were killed after the motorcycle they were riding crashed into the wall of a shop on Rajanukunte Road at Yelahanka in the early hours of Friday (September 18).The deceased have been identified as Vachan, a third-year engineering student, and Pradeep, a first-year engineering student, both studying at a private college.According to the police, the two had reportedly gone out for a joy ride at around 3 a.m. They were allegedly not wearing helmets and were riding in a rash and negligent manner. The rider is suspected to have lost control of the motorcycle before the accident.Both students sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.Personnel from the Yelahanka Traffic Police visited the scene and registered a case. An investigation is under way to determine the exact circumstances leading to the accident.The police are awaiting the postmortem examination report to ascertain whether the students were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
