Twisted Sister Perform First Show with Sebastian Bach as Singer: Watch

The performance took place on August 28th at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey, booked under the name Bent Brother, an alter ego that Twisted Sister have used to play secret gigs. Get Twisted Sister Tickets Here The show saw Twisted Sister play a 17-song set full of classics from their early records alongside two Skid Row hits. In video posted to YouTube, Bach doesn’t quite match the physical energy of Dee Snider onstage, but sounds great, delivering harsher and uglier vocals than usual to fit the more savage hard rocking vibe of Twisted Sister’s music than his own. The band is in fine form, sounding tighter and sharper than they did in their prime, ripping along more like youthful punk band than esteemed legends. There is a powerful energy present that feels ripe for exploration in a studio environment if the band should so choose; hearing Bach tap into a sound this rough-edged is a delight and a great display of his still-fantastic vocal capabilities. Bach stepped in to front the band with Snider’s blessing after the latter announced that he was resigning from Twisted Sister due to health challenges. Twisted Sister are currently preparing for a tour to begin September 4th with support from Rockett Mania, a cover band led by Poison’s Rikki Rockett. Get tickets here.
