Tom Holland Pukes on ‘Hot Ones’: ‘I’m Vomiting! Help!’

Tom Holland may be ready to rule Ithaca, but it turns out he’s not the master of his own stomach. So much so that “The Odyssey” star, who appeared on the latest episode of “Hot Ones,” ended up vomiting after consuming the show’s signature fiery chicken wings. Holland made an appearance on the YouTube show alongside co-star Jon Bernthal. It was apparent that the London-born Holland was struggling with the spiciness of the wings throughout the interview. But after the actors were done eating the wings of death, the pair stood up to shoot promotional material with host Sean Evans. Holland started coughing before bending over and ended up vomiting. After Holland immediately started laughing. Bernthal grabbed him by the shoulders and started cheering, “Let’s go,” and told him to “take a picture” of the moment. Popular on Variety Holland turned to the production crew and said, that they “can use that” as Bernthal hands him a napkin. “Look, Louis Vuitton, I got none of it on my clothes.” Despite interviewees snacking on super-spicy wings in each episode, no other guest in the 8-year history of the show has ever thrown up. Evans confirmed that after Bernthal asked if anyone has ever puked before, Evans replied, “That might be the first on set ever.” “I love being the first,” Holland laughed. The pair were promoting their latest film as well as “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” which opens on July 31. The show has become a key stop for celebrities with new projects in recent years. During the interview, Holland talked about his first day on Christopher Nolan’s film, when he wasn’t able to find the set. The actor said, “That first day when I visited in Morocco — you [Jon] were working that day. And I went to the beach to just watch them work. I kind of wanted to get a bit of a jump on how Chris [Nolan] likes to work and just watch kind of from afar. And I arrived at the beach and I could not see a single crew member. You’re seeing miles and miles of ships and extras and warriors and horses and you’ll ask yourself like where is the crew?” He continued, “So then they asked me to walk down this beach and every sort of 10 minutes we’d hear ‘Rolling!’ And I’d have to lie down and hide behind these dunes. And I kept asking myself where are they rolling? I can’t see the crew anywhere. And then eventually I got down to where Matt [Damon] was and his men and all that sort of stuff. And it really felt at that moment like we were a part of something that had never been done before. Akin to sort of Lawrence of Arabia. Those movies where they are legend, not just in the quality of the film, but in the size and scale and the ambition of what Chris was trying to do.” Watch the video below.
