The Beatles Somehow Found More Unreleased Recordings For New Super Deluxe Rubber Soul

The Beatles have been broken up for well over half a century, and there have been roughly one million vault-raiding reissues since then. It's crazy to think that there could still be any unreleased Beatles recordings out there, but apparently there are. Some of them will finally see the light of day on an upcoming super deluxe edition of the band's 1965 masterpiece Rubber Soul. Producer Giles Martin, son of longtime Beatles collaborator George, worked with engineer Sam Okell on a new stereo mix of Rubber Soul, which will be included alongside the album's original mono mix on the new set. The set will also include "Day Tripper" b/w "We Can Work It Out," the non-album single that the band released around the same time. Paul McCartney wrote a new introduction for the 88-page book that comes with the set, which also has a foreword that compiles John Lennon's reflections on the LP. The big news is that the set features tons of extra material, including 20 previously unreleased studio takes and three home demos that are just now coming out for the first time. One of those unreleased tracks is "Little Girl," a John Lennon-written tune that has never come out in any form.
