Executed in Ozeri’s signature photorealistic style, the works initially resemble photographs but function as a deeper commentary on freedom, nostalgia, and the mythology of the fresh start. While the imagery draws on universal symbols popularized by Hollywood cinema, the exhibition is rooted in Ozeri’s personal biography.Ozeri’s work featured in Whitney Museum, Smithsonian American Art MuseumHaving immigrated from Israel to New York with his family, the artist utilizes these archetypal American backdrops to examine his own lived experience of seeking a new life in the “land of unlimited possibilities.”People sit at cafes along a street in Tel Aviv, September 9, 2026.
