Violence against the person, the largest crime type of all at almost ten million cases, sees a charge rate of only 7.09 per cent. Public order offences stand at 8.3, sexual offences at nine per cent and robbery at 9.84. The figures come after rows about the police failing to take crime seriously while collaring Brits over social media messages.
