Stacey Solomon buys new £2m mansion on her own – with no cash from ‘husband’ Joe Swash

STACEY Solomon and Joe Swash left fans stunned earlier this month when they packed up dream home Pickle Cottage and swapped it for a huge new project in Essex – but that wasn’t the last of the surprises to come. Two years ago The Sun told how Stacey, 36 – who has been announced as a new host of The Voice UK alongside Alesha Dixon – was the sole owner of Pickle Cottage and splashed out £1.3million on the property in 2021. A well-placed insider told us: “Stacey’s a canny businesswoman and was also the sole owner of Pickle Cottage, which sold for over £1million, so it made sense she’d buy the new home on her own. She paid over £2m for the new Essex mansion – but she’s worth over £10m so that’s not even a dent in her bank balance.” The Sun has reached out to Stacey’s reps for comment. The former Loose Women panellist runs a firm called Keymap Entertainment Ltd that takes in cash from her media and lucrative ad deals. And figures published in February revealed the firm is worth £10.1m for 2025 – up from £7.4m in the previous year. She has £7.5m tied up in investments and £1.6m in cash. According to her accounts, in 2022/23, the business acquired a further £800,000 in homes. And by 2023/24, the firm had scooped up £1 million worth of property. Meanwhile, twice-bankrupt Joe has been trying to carve out a new path for himself 18 years after leaving EastEnders. The couple star together in BBC reality show Stacey & Joe while she is also the face of successful makeover programme Sort Your Life Out. But he was dealt a disappointing blow earlier this year when The Sun revealed his Channel 4 show Batch from Scratch: Cooking For Less was axed after just one series. Despite a huge publicity drive with co-host and batch cooking guru Suzanne Mulholland, Joe never quite found his feet as a safe telly chef when the programme launched last Spring. A source at the time said: “The chemistry between him and Suzanne on screen was non-existent and he just isn’t an authority on food. “It’s tough as everything his wife Stacey touches turns to gold and Joe is constantly playing catch up.” Comment now
