Sony Dates Bad Robot’s JT Mollner Horror Pic ‘Skeletons’ Starring Brie Larson For Summer 2027

Sony‘s Skeletons will be coming into theaters on June 4, 2027. The new creature horror pic from JT Mollner and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions is a modern take on the sub-genre, told from a young boy’s P.O.V. as he slowly learns that his beloved parents are hiding a disturbing secret about his mother’s true nature. Oscar winner Brie Larson, Kyle Gallner, Daithí Ó hAragáin, John Goodman, Willa Fitzgerald, Ione Skye, and Keith Carradine star in what is also a FilmNation Entertainment and Assemble Media production. Brian Duffield penned the first draft of the screenplay which is based off a short story by Phillip Fracassic with revisions by Mollner. Watch on Deadline Producers are Drew Simon, Abrams and Jon Cohen, and Jack Heller. Assemble’s Caitlin de Lisser-Ellen and Duffield as well as Roy Lee and Steven Schneider are executive-producing, as is Larson and Fracassi. Also opening on June 4 next year is Lionsgate’s John Rambo prequel an untitled Paramount event title. Bad Robot has the Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor starring The End of Oak Street coming out via Warner Bros on Aug. 14.
