Sivo injury mars Leeds' win over Bradford as hopes of try record dented

Maika Sivo's suspected broken arm marred Leeds Rhinos' 42-12 victory over Bradford Bulls that took them two points clear at the top of Super League with the Fijian winger's hopes of breaking the record for the most tries in a season dented.Rhinos coach Brad Arthur said afterwards that the 32-year-old's forearm will need plating and the former Parramatta Eels star is likely to be sidelined for around six weeks. Sivo is currently on 29 tries for the Super League campaign with the record number of touchdowns in one season the 40 amassed by Castleford's Denny Solomona in 2016. Bradford, who tumbled to a sixth loss in seven top-fight matches, went ahead when Guy Armitage did superbly to score from a Chris Atkin kick but Leeds hit back through McDonnell, despite the enormous blow of losing Sivo. Jake Connor had an effort ruled out for a double movement but he created a second for McDonnell and O'Connor extended Leeds' advantage to 18-6 at half-time.
