Some were used at Activision PR events around the world, while others were given away through competitions, making them an incredibly rare commodity. So, it's no small surprise that when they show up on eBay, they fetch a pretty penny. But given how rare they are, it's exceedingly rare to see this happen. However, over the weekend, seller neoframe listed one such console for a staggering $11,999 — and there's already plenty of interest, with over 3,000 viewers today and a total of nine watchers. Neoframe Claims That Only One Of These Consoles Has Ever Gone On Sale "Hi there, I have something extra special for sale today: a limited edition Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Microsoft Xbox One X 1TB Console," neoframe explained. "According to the marketing agency that created these, only 12 were made as a way to promote the release of the game. The console is in good condition and has never been used, as evidenced by the fact that it boots up to the device setup screen when powered on. "There are some cosmetic issues with this console from being in storage for the last 7 years," they continued. "The lacquer finish on the four posts that hold the sword have been worn off, exposing the color of the wood underneath. This doesn't impact its ability to hold the sword as there are magnets in the stand, holding the sword in place. The controller also has two nicks on the right grip. Lastly, the hilt of the sword appears to have been filled in with hot glue before I got ahold of it." Neoframe clarifies that they are "highly amenable to offers," alleging that only one of these limited edition Sekiro-themed Xbox One consoles has ever been on sale in the past. I was unable to verify this concretely, but Consolevariations, a site that catalogs rare and custom consoles, does record a previous eBay listing, while a corresponding listing from the same seller on Kolekcjonerki is dated to 2022. Though it disappeared after just four days. Considering only a dozen of these consoles were made, it's no surprise that Neoframe is fishing for a whale, but whether it actually sells for $12,000 remains to be seen. Released March 22, 2019 ESRB M for Mature: Blood and Gore, Violence Developer(s) From Software Publisher(s) Activision Engine Proprietary Engine
