Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ new release date revealed after prison fight

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ prison release date got pushed up by one month after his fight with another inmate. The release date changed from Feb. 23, 2028 to Jan. 24, 2028, Page Six confirmed with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Combs’ rep had no comment for Page Six. Last week, TMZ reported that the disgraced rapper got into a heated altercation with a fellow inmate after being dissed and took “matters into his own hands.” Prison staff members separated the men during the fight, and Combs was tossed in solitary confinement. Such information would not be available for the public domain.” The Federal Bureau of Prisons, meanwhile, would not comment on “disciplinary matters, or other information regarding individual inmates due to privacy, safety and security concerns.” In October 2025, Combs was sentenced to 50 months for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was transferred from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center to Fort Dix. His initial May 8, 2028, release date was pushed to June 4, 2028, in November 2025 after he allegedly violated multiple prison rules. The “I’ll Be Missing You” hitmaker reportedly got in “trouble with prison officials” for consuming “homemade alcohol,” before he was busted again for allegedly participating in a three-way phone call, which is prohibited. Combs claimed to have not known that “third party or three-way calls are not authorized.” His release date was subsequently moved up again and was set at Feb. 23, 2028 before the prison fight. Lawyers demanded his immediate release and either reversal of the conviction or a reduced sentence, according to appeal court papers. Prosecutors opposed the appeal request in February. Combs’ prison release date has changed multiple times since his sentence started.
