Sayyid Badr meets Canadian Foreign Minister

New York: Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi met with Anita Anand, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.The Ministers discussed ways to build on the understandings reached during their recent consultations and exchanges. They explored how to make use of the Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations to establish regular dialogue, to pursue opportunities for cooperation in energy, critical minerals and higher education, and to encourage trade and investment links between the two countries.The meeting also covered developments in the region and ongoing diplomatic efforts to support de-escalation and overcome obstacles to political solutions, while protecting civilians and ensuring the free flow of international shipping and trade, in support of regional and international security and stability.
