Sainsbury’s makes major change to Nectar scheme and it will help you get more points

SAINSBURY’S has made a huge change to its Nectar scheme and shoppers will be delighted. Shoppers can collect one Nectar point for every £1 they spend when ordering Sainsbury’s groceries via the Uber Eats app or online. The supermarket chain will give shoppers the chance to claim the points when they make a purchase from more than 1,300 Sainsbury’s stores across the UK. The Nectar points can then be exchanged for rewards including days and meals out. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! You will need to input your full Nectar card number at the checkout and can’t claim the points retrospectively. Meanwhile, you can’t claim the points on gift vouchers, baby milk products, lottery tickets, smoking related products, medicine, alcohol and liqueurs. Sainsbury’s already allows customers to redeem their Nectar points to spend on Uber transport and Uber Eats. The news also comes after Nectar launched on Deliveroo, allowing customers to collect points when they shop with Sainsbury’s through the app. Meanwhile, Tesco has announced that it is launching on Uber Eats in August and Deliveroo later this summer.
