The attack damaged primary production facilities related to energy and blast furnace operations, prompting a partial suspension of the plant’s production processes. Specialists are currently assessing the extent of the damage and the timeline for repairs. The press service noted that the facility is civilian industrial infrastructure. The plant previously sustained a Russian missile strike in 2022, which destroyed a rolling mill and killed one worker. In Kyiv, the overnight strikes caused a large-scale fire at the Petrivka book market near the Pochaina metro station in the Obolonskyi district. The State Emergency Service (SES) reported that the fire engulfed the territory, completely burning down several rows of retail pavilions and destroying inventory. The Petrivka market, operating since the 1990s, is one of the oldest and largest book markets in the capital. The SES noted that rescue workers are continuing to manage the aftermath of the strikes, which also caused fires and structural damage in the capital’s Holosiivskyi district.
