Princess Eugenie reveals name of baby girl with tribute to late Queen after giving birth in Portugal

PRINCESS Eugenie has revealed her baby daughter’s name, which includes a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth. Under an adorable picture of Adelaide, Eugenie said: “2 weeks ago today we welcomed our girl to the world. “And since then we’ve had the most special, cosy and love-filled time. “We are so happy to share Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank. “Named after three people we love and admire past and present, including her Great-Grandmother who we hold close in our hearts. “Her name is part of English and Portuguese history, two places we love and call home. “Augie and Ernie are already the best big brothers.” Most read in Royals Alongside the image of her new daughter Eugenie shared a picture of her two sons with their sister. After the birth of Adelaide, proud dad, Jack Brooksbank, took a photo of the baby to share with the world which was posted alongside the statement. The parents took time to decide on the name of their new daughter while the family enjoyed spending time together with August and Ernest. Their daughter was born a day before Meghan Markle’s 45th birthday, with the Duchess sharing pictures and thanking her social media followers for the “birthday love.” Eugenie confirmed she was expecting her third child with Jack Brooksbank with a sweet social media post in May. Their two boys August, five, and Ernest, three, were shown holding a baby scan, with the caption: “Baby Brooksbank due 2026!” Eugenie and her partner – who have been married since 2018 – own property south of the Portuguese capital where Adelaide was born. The last royal to be born abroad was Princess Lilibet, who was born in California in June 2021. Baby Adelaide is the 15th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and the third to be born since her death in 2022. She is 15th in line to the throne with Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, moving down to 16th place.
