Russia Hits Kyiv Pharmaceutical Plant Second Time in a Week

Russia struck the Darnytsia pharmaceutical plant for the second time in a week on Saturday morning.Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on Saturday morning that a fire was detected near a warehouse in the Darnytskyi district without elaboration.JOIN US ON TELEGRAMFollow our coverage of the war on the @Kyivpost_official.At 9:16 a.m., the pharmaceutical plant confirmed that its facilities were among those hit by the overnight Russian attack in a Facebook update.It reported no casualties but urged locals not to share details of the attack.“This morning, the Russians again struck our Darnytsia pharmaceutical company plant.The main thing is that there are no injuries,” the update says.“We ask, as last time, for informational silence. Do not publish photos and videos, do not describe the location and consequences of the strike, do not add details in the comments,” it adds.The pharmaceutical plant was also hit on Wednesday.Kateryna Zagoriy, a member of the company’s Strategic Council and co-founder of the Zagoriy Foundation, confirmed the attack but said no one was injured. The company has not disclosed the extent of the damage.The attack adds Darnytsia’s production facilities to the list of civilian infrastructure damaged in Russian strikes on Kyiv. The pharmaceutical company was also damaged in a Russian attack on the capital in June, when Zagoriy said there were no casualties among employees.The attacks form part of Russia’s escalated campaign against Ukrainian businesses – including pharmaceutical facilities – in recent weeks.
