The victim, identified by police as alias “Leo,” a resident of Barangay Mina-anod, was found floating face down in the sea at 6:10 p.m., according to the Llorente Municipal Police Station. Police said a fisherman identified the man floating in the waters and alerted authorities. The victim was brought to Llorente Medical Hospital (Medicare), where an attending physician declared him dead. Initial police investigation showed that at around 3 a.m. on the same day, a resident saw the victim arrive at Barangay So-ong aboard a small boat while transporting visitors. The victim and his passengers reportedly docked at the barangay, after which the victim left alone aboard the same boat. That was the last time he was seen alive.
