Emil Cruz, commander of the 901st Infantry Brigade, identified the fatality as Nelson Nuyda, alias “Chubby,” who was allegedly a committee member of KLG1, SRC3, BRPC. “The success of this operation shows the government’s sustained campaign against the communist terrorist group. We will continue our operations until the remaining NPA members in Albay are neutralized,” Cruz said in a statement.
