Rashmika makes 1st public appearance with Vijay Deverakonda after hip surgery

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda made a joint public appearance at producer Niranjan Reddy’s son’s engagement in Hyderabad recently. The couple arrived at the venue holding hands and exchanging smiles, marking Rashmika’s first public appearance since undergoing surgery for a hip injury.For the engagement, Rashmika looked stunning in a black-and-gold lehenga featuring intricate embroidery on the dupatta. Vijay complemented her look in an all-black outfit.Here’s the video:Rashmika had suffered the injury while shooting for her upcoming film Mysaa. On August 3, she opened up about the injury and revealed that it was her third injury in a row. “It happened awhile ago ya and this is my 3rd injury back to back..I should definitely learn to treat my body like a human body and not some machine.. (sic),” she wrote.Explaining the extent of her injury, Rashmika revealed that a tendon in her right hip had detached and needed to reattach before she could fully regain movement in her leg. “So there are 4 tendons on each side of your hip that connects your hip to your leg and one of those tendons on my right hip apparently had detached and that has to attach again, for me to be able to lift my leg up and stuff.. and this happened during my dance shoot for Mysaa.. my god that’s the most aggressive film I’ve ever done for sure! (sic),” she said.Rashmika has been recovering at home following the surgery. Her latest appearance suggests that she is gradually getting back to her routine, although she has not yet resumed shooting.On the work front, Rashmika was last seen in the Hindi film Cocktail 2. She will next headline Mysaa, a female-led film directed by Rawindra Pulle.
