Ranveer Singh pledges education support for 1,000 girls on PM Modi's birthday

Actor Ranveer Singh has pledged to support the education of 1,000 girls as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. The actor made the commitment on the birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, coinciding with the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, during his visit to Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja pandal on Thursday night.Ranveer, who sought Lord Ganesha’s blessings during his visit, said he hoped the initiative would please Bappa and that his blessings would continue to remain with him and his family.Speaking to News18, he said, “It feels really good to be here. By Bappa's grace, the past year has been filled with happiness for my family and me. So, we have come here to thank him and seek his blessings for the journey ahead. On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and on the occasion of the birth anniversary of our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, I pledge to join the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and support the education of 1,000 daughters. I hope that Bappa will be pleased with this initiative and that his blessings will always remain upon us.”The 41-year-old actor was dressed in a white kurta-pyjama as he made his way through the crowded pandal, greeting fans before offering prayers to Bappa. His visit came as several celebrities joined the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations across Mumbai. He even expressed his happiness at seeking blessings at the pandal.“It’s great to be here. The past year has been filled with happiness for my family and me, thanks to Bappa's blessings. I came here, had his darshan, and thanked him. I sought his blessings for the journey ahead,” he said. According to reports, Ranveer is among several film personalities participating in the initiative.
