And insiders have said the amount being bandied around is a meaty seven figures. Sign up for the Showbiz newsletter Thank you! One of my sources said: “Jordan’s decision to leave Insanity for CAA has caused ructions. “They really helped steer his career and got him the I’m A Celebrity gig back in 2020, but he felt ready to move on. READ MORE ON JORDAN NORTH “The deal was done earlier this year and everything seemed dandy. “But now Insanity, who looked after Jordan for years, is said to believe that he has breached some elements of his contract. “They’re taking legal action and it’s claimed they think he owes them around £1million. “It’s crazy money and it’s become the talk of the industry. But it’s all going to start costing him loads in legal fees. It’s a right old mess.” “Jordan’s not letting it get him down though, and it’s fair to say his workload is piling up. As well as hosting Capital Breakfast, he is on big screens around the world after landing a cameo voice role in Toy Story 5 alongside Sian. Jord was handed the part of voicing Garden Gnome, while Sian played the Inflatable Flamingo in the Pixar animation. It was revealed this week the new instalment of Woody and Buzz’s adventures had become the third film this year to bank more than $1billion at the global box office. If Jordan was smart, he should be raking in the cash off the back of that. It would certainly make those legal bills less of a headache. Evolution London in Battersea Park, South London, has been transformed into Rydell High with a funfair outside, and performances happen all around as the film is beamed on to screens. Ricky will appear in 17 performances during August. Somehow I doubt he’ll be adding any Grease tunes to his Kaiser Chiefs sets. STOOSHE SLIP BACK Stooshe perform onstage at the 2012 MOBO awards Credit: Getty Images – Getty GIRL group Stooshe are in talks to reunite follwing a sales landmark for their biggest tune. They had a string of hits in the 2010s, including Love Me, Waterfalls and Slip. Now, more than a decade later, the British trio are thinking of getting back together after 2012 single Black Heart, which peaked at No3, was classified platinum with sales of more than 600,000. Karis Anderson, who is one third of the group, let slip the news in a video on TikTok as she celebrated their sales feat and unwrapped a disc marking the song’s achievement. The singer, who became known for her vocal harmonies alongside bandmates Alexandra Buggs and Courtney Rumbold, said: “Me and the girls have been talking about making some more content and getting together more, and maybe doing some gigs. “I think we still have a bit of imposter syndrome with stuff. “So this came at just the right time. We are a platinum-selling girl band. “My heart is so full. I just feel so proud and so grateful.” They were originally signed to Warner Records and released their debut album, London With The Lights On, in 2013. But Karis said: “We are an unsigned band now.” It may have been a fair few years since we heard from them, but some uplifting, soulful pop tunes could be just what the world needs right now. Johnny McDaid’s group last week dropped their expanded anniversary edition of the record, which first topped the charts in 2006. TAKING STEPS TO MARK 30 STEPS are plotting to hit the road and celebrate their 30th anniversary. The band released their debut single 5, 6, 7, 8 in November 1997, before scoring hits including Tragedy, One For Sorrow, and Chain Reaction. Asked if they were going back on tour, singer Claire Richards teased: “Hopefully. It is our 30th anniversary next year, which I can’t quite believe. “It doesn’t feel that long at all, and fingers crossed we’ll do something. We are not sure yet.” One thing Steps have changed since their early days together is the backstage rider when they perform at gigs. Claire told the Good Food podcast: “I only learned a few years ago that you can be specific. “We would always just go, ‘Two bottles of prosecco, two bottles of rosé, and white’. “And then we did the Mighty Hoopla Festival a few years ago. “Blue were wandering around with bottles of Whispering Angel, and we had some rubbish rosé in ours. “I said to someone, ‘How come they’ve got that and we’ve got rubbish stuff?’ And they said, ‘Well, they asked for it’. “So now I’m always very specific. Now it’s Whispering Angel, and I always ask for a bottle of Laurent-Perrier rosé Champagne. “I don’t always get it, but the days I do get it are very exciting.” WHERE’S STEW’S TEWS?
