Police seize over 60 kg. of drugs in raids across central Israel

SEPTEMBER 22, 2026 19:04A 44-year-old resident of northern Israel was arrested on Tuesday in central Israel after he was found to be in possession of more than 20 kilograms of a substance suspected to be cannabis, Israel Police confirmed.Police conducted a raid on the suspect's apartment in the early hours of the morning and found, in addition to the 20 kg. of cannabis, more than 500 grams of oil suspected to be cannabis oil, an electronic scale, several cell phones, and a scooter.Police suspect that the latter items were used to store and distribute drugs through the apartment.Also on Tuesday, police arrested a Petah Tikva resident in his 20s on suspicion of possessing over 40 kg. of substances suspected to be a variety of drugs, including cocaine, MDMA, ecstasy, and cannabis.The suspect was arrested following a raid on his apartment in Petah Tikva, which police suspect was his base of operations to store, prepare, and distribute drugs.Over 40kg of various drugs seized from a Petah Tikva apartment on September 22, 2026.
