With eight evolutions under their belt, Eevee has cemented themselves as one of the most popular Pokémon of all time. However, with their latest "eeveelution" taking place way back in 2013 with the introduction of the Fairy-type, Sylveon, during Pokémon X and Y, fans are hoping that the upcoming launch of Pokémon's tenth generation will welcome a new-and-improved Eevee. Set to kick off next year with the launch of Pokémon Winds and Waves, Generation 10 is almost upon us, but with no current knowledge of the evolutions we can expect, or even if Eevee will make an appearance, it remains to be seen if another Eeveelution is on the horizon. At the time of writing, Eevee currently boasts eight evolutions, including Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and as mentioned, Sylveon as the most recent iteration. However, with Water, Electric, Fire, Psychic, Dark, Grass, Ice, and Fairy-types all covered, fans are hoping to see a brand-new evolution type for Eevee, and they have taken to Reddit to share their concept art for how this may look. "I’ve been wanting a ghost-type Eeveelution for a while now. This is something along the lines of what I’m hoping to see," one user shared over on r/PokemonSwordandShield, alongside concept art of what they have named 'Ghouleon.' Offering an orange fur color, purple clothes and a menacing glare, this version of Eevee would definitely make a welcome addition to Pokémon's roster, and it seems as though fellow fans agree. "Really wish they would make a ghost Evee," the top comment read. "Mainly so Eevee can evolve after fainting X amount of times in battle." Another fan came up with lore surrounding Ghouleon, explaining, "Pokèdex entry: wild Ghouleon used to be Eevees owned by abusive trainers, and eventually the abuse became too much, but the Eevee’s hatred and rage allowed it to survive and evolve into a ghostly version of itself so it may roam the lands and seek revenge against its former trainer. A normal Eevee may also evolve into Ghouleon if it trusts its trainer completely and comes into contact with a cursed brick that was once used by another abusive trainer." Over on r/pokemon, another version of a Ghost-type Eevee was also shared, with these versions looking a lot more shocking as Eevee takes on a malnourished appearance with the name 'Reveneon.' "I like it, but feels too creepy to be a real 'mon," one comment read. Another said, "Ghost-type is one of my two favorite types. I really want Eevee to have a Ghost evolution. I think Ghost has really cool design potential as well as possible evolution methods." For now, a Ghost-type Eeveelution remains just a concept created by fans, but who knows? Maybe Generation 10 of Pokémon will finally give fans what they have been waiting for when it comes to the beloved Eevee.
