RUSSIANS have painted a desperate plea to Ukrainian drone pilots to spare their warehouse as Volodymyr Zelensky’s forces blitz Russia’s Amazon equivalent. It comes as Ukraine targets Russian online seller Wildberries with a devastating series of strikes, dubbed “long-range sanctions”. The e-commerce giant painted an enormous message on the roof of one of its largest logistics centres, begging Ukrainians to leave it intact. It read: “This is not Wildberries. Fly past.” The warehouse is in Nizhny Novgorod, around 800miles deep into Russia. Head of defence company Fire Point Denys Shtilerman said the retailer would not be spared, telling Ukrainian media: “First we will finish off Wildberries, and then we will destroy Ozon too.” Ukraine has been putting its foot on Moscow’s neck with a series of strikes crippling the regime’s biggest e-commerce platform. It comes as Nato scrambled fighter jets after a suspected Russian missile crossed into Polish airspace. The incident came during a deadly overnight assault from Vladimir Putin – which saw two girls, aged five and 12, among eight killed in Ukraine. Smoke was seen rising from Poland‘s Lublin region where a 33ft-wide crater was reportedly found after air raid sirens sounded across the area. Polish operational command said an “unidentified object” crashed in its territory after multiple missiles were spotted flying close to the border. One, feared to be a Kh-101 missile launched from a Russian bomber, entered Polish airspace at around 3.30am. Poland’s operational command said in a statement: “At 3.29am, the closest approach was made by one of the objects. “At 3.40am, an unidentified object was detected in Polish airspace moving westward. An F-16 fighter jet was dispatched to the area to identify and intercept it. “At 3.46am, before a clear identification could be made, the object disappeared from radar detection. “To verify and ultimately confirm the radar’s technical indications, an Mi-24 helicopter was dispatched to the area of the last detection. “The helicopter crew located the probable crash site of the object in an undeveloped area near the town of Tarnawa-Kolonia in the Lublin Voivodeship.” The crash site sits four miles from Otrocz, which is around 56 miles from the Ukrainian border. Polish defence minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said: “Clarification is now underway as to what kind of object fell near the locality of Tarnawa-Kolonia.” Comment now
