Nicola fears for Ryder in EastEnders and he gets ready to open up

Nicola tries to connect with Ryder (Picture: BBC) The mystery surrounding the connection Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) has with newcomer Ned Hawkins (Jamie Bamber) continues in EastEnders this week, with the BBC One soap highlighting the relationship she has with Ned’s son Ryder (Felix Uff). Ned was introduced to us when Nicola’s extended family rocked up to Walford. He is the husband of Gemma Hawkins (Patricia Potter), who is Nicola’s sister. Pals with Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), Ned seems kind on the surface, but viewers now know there is a darkness to him after he reminded Nicola that they’ve been keeping a secret for 20 years.
