Mullinax receives six-month ban for anti-doping violation

Golfer Trey Mullinax has received a six-month ban after testing positive for a substance prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency.Mullinax - whose one PGA Tour victory came at the 2022 Barbasol Championship - said in a statement provided by the Tour that he used a medication for a condition he was diagnosed with at university without seeking approval. He becomes the ninth golfer to be suspended since the PGA Tour begin drug testing in 2008, and the first since Byeong Hun An was suspended for using a cough syrup that contained a prohibited substance in October 2023.
