Published Jul 24, 2026, 10:41 PM EDT Jennifer is a TV and Movie News Editor at ScreenRant. She started her journey in entertainment media in 2022 when she first joined Valnet at CBR before coming to ScreenRant. Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available. Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show. Her Alien: Earth coverage for ScreenRant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far. She was initially a finance and political editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism. During her off time, she loves to binge-watch cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. Jennifer also loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes every moment of it. Marvel and Sony quietly dropped a new international poster for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The recently released colorful new poster for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is already drawing attention from fans. The poster stands out from all the other promotional images that have been released for the upcoming MCU superhero film because it is taking a very different approach. Instead of using pictures of characters from the movie, it relies solely on what resembles hand-drawn artwork. The poster, which was first revealed on the website IMP Awards, doesn't feature Tom Holland or any of his co-stars. The image looks more like a comic book cover, with Spider-Man hanging upside down while his spider-senses are tingling. There is a large pink lotus flower directly above him that appears to be glowing. The background also features swirling blue clouds. While this may just seem like a pretty poster on the surface, it could be a lot more symbolic than first meets the eye. The image features three lotuses surrounding Spider-Man. In certain cultures, these flowers are often associated with strength and rebirth, which is very fitting and aligns with the film's rumored inspirations and plot points. Many have speculated that Spider-Man: Brand New Day heavily draws from the comic book storyline, "The Other" (by Peter David, Reginald Hudlin, J. Michael Straczynski, Mike Wieringo, Pat Lee, and Mike Deodato Jr). In that specific arc, Peter Parker dies after a brutal beating. However, after going through several agonizing trials, the Wall-Crawler is finally reborn and comes back stronger than ever before. Spider-Man: Brand New Day takes place four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, after Peter is erased from the memories of everyone. It is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna. The movie stars Zendaya (MJ), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle / the Punisher), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner / Hulk), Michael Mando (Scorpion), Tramell Tillman (William Metzger), and Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role, alongside Holland. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026, and July 30, 2026, in select theaters. Release Date July 31, 2026 Runtime 145 Minutes Director Destin Daniel Cretton
