Wanda Maximoff's story has been one of the most enduring and significant of the Multiverse Saga to date, and in just two months, the story will continue in VisionQuest. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe's latest saga has been lacking in many areas, one of the most exciting stories has revolved around the Scarlet Witch and those closest to her. After being introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda struggled to fit in with the Avengers. However, when the threat of Thanos loomed over the universe, Wanda and her beloved Vision left the life they created together behind to help their old teammates. Devastatingly, this led to one of Marvel's most heartbreaking moments, when Wanda watched her partner die... twice. Since then, the Multiverse Saga has picked up her story in the wake of Vision's death, and watched as even greater tragedies unfolded, before eventually seeing the demise of Wanda herself in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And yet, the story of the Scarlet Witch is still incomplete, with one more entry in this trilogy coming this October, VisionQuest. VisionQuest Will Finally Round Out The Scarlet Witch Trilogy In 2021, WandaVision revealed an ethereal world where Wanda appeared to be living out her dream life with her partner, Vision, despite the hero having died years prior in Avengers: Infinity War. Over the course of the series, it became clear that the world Wanda inhabited was a fantasy, and one which took over the lives of numerous innocents in the community that she hexed to create her dream world. This series unveiled the fact that while Wanda was able to create a replica mind of her Vision, his physical form was not real, but Vision's remains were repurposed by S.W.O.R.D. to create the White Vision. When this empty vessel came face to face with Wanda's reconstructed Vision inside the hex, they combined to become something new, but this new being struggled to reconcile who he was and what he had become, leading to him flying far away. Wanda's story continued in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where it was revealed that she had given in to the power of the Darkhold, and ultimately, led to her demise. Meanwhile, another character introduced in WandaVision, Agatha Harkness, starred in another chapter of this saga, Agatha All Along, which deepened the narrative around Wanda and her family. But VisionQuest is set to finally close the book on this trilogy as audiences will finally learn what happened next to the White Vision, and piece together the puzzle that began back in WandaVision around Vision's life and his family. Wanda Maximoff's Story Might Continue Beyond VisionQuest It's intriguing that Wanda was only present in WandaVision, while the later entries both moved on to other characters and a deeper exploration of her family. And with the Scarlet Witch sacrificing herself in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it seemed as though her story ended too soon. And it's precisely because of that detail, and the sense that Wanda's story isn't over, that there is still a lot of speculation among fans that the Scarlet Witch will return. Most recently, with the reveal of the Latverian Witches at SDCC, many people have theorized that Wanda will be one of these disciples of Doctor Doom, aiding him in his mission to make others pay for their stolen lives. This makes a great deal of sense when considering the things Wanda said in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where she uncovered that numerous other realities saw her live happily with her children, while her reality saw her lose everything and everyone that was special to her. Hopefully, VisionQuest will shed more light on this theory and provide a satisfying end to the Scarlet Witch saga. Network Disney+ Showrunner Terry Matalas Directors Christopher J.
