A new trailer for The Walking Dead: Dead City season 3 has revealed what's next for the pair in Manhattan as a new chapter in their lives begins. Dead City season 3 opens with the pair finally reconciling their differences, Maggie getting inspired by a new character, Renata, to finally let go of her anger. She stays with Renata and her brother, Luis, in their hospital community, intending to bring her people from the Bricks to Manhattan in order to build a new life with Hershel. But, despite New Babylon seemingly being defeated, the Dama has her own plans. Now, AMC has released a new trailer for Dead City season 3, teasing what to expect for the rest of the season. It reveals Maggie will get her people across the water to Manhattan to build a new life, but that tensions will explode both inside and outside the community. Although Negan left at the end of episode 1, he'll return to help as the group expands beyond the hospital into nearby areas of the island. Numerous groups, outrageous and dangerous, are shown, while a new villain appears intent on taking methane power for herself. Check out the full trailer below: Following the end of Dead City season 2, the show has gone through a major reinvention in just one episode. Maggie and Negan have stopped fighting with one another, and are seemingly on good terms, even if they can't fully forgive each other for the past. But it appears Maggie has let go enough to allow Negan a life of his own. The former Savior returns to a bar run by Dillard, a lonesome survivor who talks to Walkers and has his own system to keep himself alive. But it seems peace won't last forever. The trailer teases a major Walker invasion, both at the hospital and in other areas where the core group may have expanded. It includes a number of brutal Walker deaths, while also signaling human dangers will be just as vital to how the season plays out. Both Negan and Dillard are going to get dragged into things, too, with the new character accompanying his friend and Maggie on a dangerous mission. Though the context of everything remains unclear, it seems everyone is destined to converge at a singular point. As Dead City's character roster expands, it appears the show's new direction for Maggie and Negan will be its defining trait moving forward. It's unclear what will bring them together again, but, given the Dama wants to hunt them both down as revenge for her group's destruction, it's reasonable to assume she'll be their greatest threat. But a mysterious new antagonist also seems to be in the cards now too, signaling a deeper threat the pair don't yet know about. As the two attempt to build a new life in Manhattan, it seems The Walking Dead: Dead City will be casting aside the interpersonal quarrel that has defined the show since it began. This fresh era of the series, led by new showrunner Seth Hoffman, seems to be building toward a conclusive definition of Maggie and Negan's conflict, by finally having them work together for the greater good.
