Lloyds Bank app goes down AGAIN with thousands of customers ‘unable to make payments’

MoneyNews Money THOUSANDS of Lloyds customers have reported problems with accessing the app as of this afternoon. There have been almost 3,000 reports from users unable to access their funds. The bank told customers they are working on the issue Credit: Alamy Customers of Lloyds bank have said they are unable to “launch the app” or “access their funds”, following issues with the mobile application as of 2pm today (August 26). According to Down Detector, there have been more than 2,900 reported instances of issues with customers’ online banking. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! Following a user complaint on X, Lloyds said: “We’re sorry if you’re having trouble logging in to online banking and our app right now. We’re on it and working to get things back to normal as quickly as we can.” This is the second time in the past week that customers have been locked out of their funds, with the last technical glitch on August 18. The previous technical issue affected 26million customers across the Lloyds Banking Group brand, including Halifax and Bank of Scotland customers. Now, frustrated users have complained that the app is down again, with one customer calling it a “nightmare”. Another said: “I need to do an important transfer. Sort it out.” One customer said they had been “forced” to migrate from the Halifax app which they never had any issues with, while the Lloyds app proved faulty within their first week of using it.
