The monster sum could be part of a late Premier League transfer rush reaching sums of over £1 BILLION. Several deals have neared or broken the £100m mark so far this summer, including Elliot Anderson‘s move to Manchester City and Morgan Rogers‘ switch to Chelsea. While other deals in that region are still under negotiation, with Enzo Fernandez linked to a City move, while Arsenal battle for Julian Alvarez‘s signature. Nicolas Jackson‘s £65million agreement to move to Aston Villa looks like a reasonable fee in comparison, but still constitutes a record for the side. If those deals go through, among other, it could amount to £1bn spent in the final fortnight of the window alone, per the Telegraph.
