Sign in to your TheGamer account Kingdom Hearts Collection 1-3 has managed to top the US Switch 2 charts ahead of launch, and it’s even beating out one of Nintendo’s biggest games. For as long as the Switch has been a thing, Kingdom Hearts fans have been begging to see the series come to Nintendo’s latest platform. Those cries were answered in the worst way on the original Switch, with Square Enix offering a cloud version that barely worked and often made you queue to play a single-player game. Earlier this year, Square righted that wrong by confirming that Kingdom Hearts was finally going to get the proper port treatment for Switch 2 with a new collection. All of the begging from fans for a Switch release clearly wasn’t just hot air, as the collection is currently topping the US charts and beating a major Nintendo game in the process. Kingdom Hearts Collection 1-3 Is Beating Fire Emblem On The Switch 2 Charts We’ve Never Been More Back As pointed out by Twitter user Stealth40k and backed up by Nintendo Everything, Kingdom Hearts Collection 1-3 is currently in first place on the Nintendo eShop charts in the US. That’s especially impressive considering it’s currently ahead of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, which is obviously a huge first-party Nintendo game. While it’s true that Fortune’s Weave has been out for some time now, it’s still notable that the Kingdom Hearts Collection has managed to claim first place. Some of the other games it’s beating out include Minecraft Dungeons 2, Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle, Mario Kart World, and even Pokopia. This is only in the US, though, as the Collection is in eighth place on the UK Nintendo eShop charts. Of course, this shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. Not only is Kingdom Hearts incredibly beloved, but the collection marks the first real time Nintendo users have had a chance to play through the series. Square Enix also saw massive success with the Switch 2 ports of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth, so it’s clearly a good platform for its games.
