| Soaps Reporter Published November 2, 2026 9:09am Updated November 2, 2026 9:09am Keeping violent secrets isn’t difficult for Gary (Picture: ITV) The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Coronation Street dated November 2. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX and YouTube. Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) toxic father Ross Wilkes (Ian Burfield) is beginning to take advantage of the power he has in his job in Coronation Street, but currently has no idea that going up against Gary Windass (Mikey North) is a very risky move. Ross works as an officer at a local prison. Gary became a new inmate there a couple of weeks ago thanks to his involvement in Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) murder, while Summer Spellman’s (Harriet Bibby) love interest Marco (William Teasdale) is inside for apparently being a getaway driver in a robbery. In today’s episode of the ITV soap, Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) and Summer both arrived at the prison to visit their respective partners. While Gary and Maria caught up, Summer was puzzled due to the fact Marco hadn’t shown up. When an officer then revealed that Marco was refusing to leave his cell, a curious Gary wondered if he was getting bullied. As he left the pub, Ross spotted Maria chatting with Idris Nazir (Junade Khan) and smirked. As Ross began his shift at the prison, he wasted no time in threatening Marco. Fortunately, Gary arrived and was able to stop the tense environment. Clearly wanted to assert some sort of control over Gary, Ross later found him and began suggesting that Idris will soon make a move on Maria after spotting them in the pub together.
