Earlier, the court had warned that contempt proceedings would be initiated if its direction to fast-track the investigation within the prescribed time was not followed. It had then granted time for the State to update the court on the present status of the investigation against the owner and employees of a TV channel that had allegedly published details of in-camera proceedings in the assault case.
