Kartik Aaryan visits Statue of Unity, enjoys theplas ahead of National Film Awards

Kartik Aaryan is in Gujarat ahead of the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony, where he will receive his first National Film Award for his performance in Chandu Champion. A day before the ceremony, the actor visited the Statue of Unity and also enjoyed some traditional Gujarati food.Kartik shared pictures from his visit to the Statue of Unity on Instagram on Monday night. The monument honours Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, one of the key leaders of India's freedom movement and the country's first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister.Along with pictures from the visit, Kartik also shared a photo of a plate of theplas. He captioned the post, “A legacy larger than life.”In the comments section, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actor praised the theplas and wrote, "Thepla was good." The actor's parents have also reached Gujarat to be with him for the special occasion.Kartik will share the Best Actor award with veteran Malayalam actor Mammootty, who has been recognised for his performance in the horror film Bramayugam. After the National Film Awards were announced, Kartik shared his reaction on Instagram. He wrote, “Still processing... Some moments are simply bigger than words, and this is one of them. A dream I've carried for years has finally come true. Forever humbled, forever grateful.. Best Actor National Award #ChanduChampion.”The 72nd National Film Awards ceremony will be held in Gujarat on Tuesday, September 22.
