Jana Nayagan director confirms plans for six deleted scenes, but not just yet

Following Vijay’s Jana Nayagan’s grand reception in theatres, six deleted scenes from the film will be added to the runtime from next week. At an event, director H Vinoth revealed that the team is also considering releasing these scenes on YouTube.When the interviewer asked about the deleted scenes, the director confirmed, “Yes, there are six scenes featuring sir. There are two fun scenes, two action scenes, and two emotional scenes.”When asked if the team had any plans regarding the scenes, H Vinoth said, “If the production house plans, they will come. From my side, we will share the footage. From next week, they might release them one by one.”It is important to note that the deleted scenes are more likely to be released on YouTube, as they would have to undergo the censor certification process again before being added to the theatrical version. Considering the controversy surrounding the film’s censor process ahead of its release, a theatrical addition of these scenes appears unlikely. Given the film’s strong box office performance, Jana Nayagan has amassed an India nett collection of Rs 134.90 crore in five days, while its India gross collection stands at Rs 157.74 crore. The film is also receiving a thunderous response internationally, with its worldwide gross collection estimated to have reached Rs 233.24 crore.Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan marks Vijay's final film as he shifts his focus to his full-time political career.
