Ivanti adds predictive remediation to get ahead of the patch backlog Information technology security software company Ivanti Inc. today introduced predictive remediation, a new capability across its Autonomous Endpoint Management line that forecasts compliance gaps and flags them before service-level deadlines pass. The feature is built on the company’s Ivanti Neurons platform and pairs with Autonomous Patch Management, which Ivanti positions as the step beyond risk-based patching. Predictive remediation is meant to close the distance between spotting a vulnerability and fixing it, letting teams see which patches are set to fall out of compliance and which blockers stand in the way before a fix is due. Ivanti framed the launch around a widening gap in enterprise security operations. The volume of patches keeps climbing. Artificial intelligence is speeding up how quickly new vulnerabilities surface. Yet plenty of organizations still work off fragmented tools and disconnected data, Ivanti said, which slows fixes and buries the risks that matter most under the ones that do not. The new tool is built to get ahead of the fix rather than react to it. It forecasts whether patches will hold up against compliance targets and flags the blockers likely to stall a fix before its service-level window runs out. From there it turns a security priority into an actual patch action, one that stays inside the guardrails an administrator has set. Predictive remediation sits within Ivanti’s wider Autonomous Endpoint Management line, which pulls endpoint management, digital experience monitoring and self-healing into one place so problems get caught before a user files a ticket. “AI is only as effective as the data that powers it, and Ivanti’s strength in data authority, autonomous workflows and governance is a critical differentiator in the market and why we’re leaning into this side of the business,” Chief Executive Dennis Kozak said in the announcement. The pitch leans heavily on governance. Ivanti describes itself as a system of record for information technology and security teams, with the Neurons platform acting on known data within predefined limits rather than making changes on its own. The framing sets the product apart from broader industry claims about AI agents that patch production systems without oversight. Paul Higdon, vice president of enterprise applications at customer experience firm ResultsCX, said Ivanti’s direction matches his own team’s effort to lean on AI and automation at scale and that bringing those together in one platform gives his staff more confidence in the work they hand off to the software.
