Hurricane Isaias has made landfall along the Gulf Coast, threatening dangerous storm surges and damaging winds. The National Hurricane Center says the powerful storm came ashore Friday near Destin, Florida, as a Category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph.
